I knew hunting for Rios in West Texas in 2017 would be a unique experience. Miles of hiking along canyon walls, temperature swings from below freezing to nearly 90 degrees, and being very conscious of where you put your hands while crawling because of the very real threat of a big diamondback were all just seasoning baked in to the thrill of it. On this trip however, I never expected to walk where hunters of the ancient world walked. Seeing black marks on cave ceilings made my mind race with possible scenarios as to why the Apache made camp in this area. It all just made me want the success of a harvest even more. #hunting #texas #riogrande #turkeys #nwtf #turkeyhunter #adventure
